Job Description:
We are hiring for a Project Geologist to contribute to our EHS (Environmental, Health, & Safety) projects on a full-time, direct basis while based at our office in Philadelphia, PA.Primary Responsibilities:
Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability. Effectively organize, write, and edit reports, draft proposals, and other documents. Oversee and manage junior staff for specific project assignments. Train staff assigned to environmental projects and mentor staff in their professional development. Plan, implement, and supervise field activities; provide contractor oversight; and interpret field conditions and laboratory analytical results. Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties. Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and other stakeholders to support project planning and execution. Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients and develop additional work within an existing network of clients. Attend/present at marketing events, conferences, regulatory trainings, and other events (when necessary).Basic Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in geology (or a related technical discipline, e.g., engineering, environmental science, etc.). Minimum 8 years of professional experience working with environmental due diligence, investigation, and remediation projects. Professional licensure (i.e., P.G.) Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance including PADEP regulations (e.g., Act 2, Act 32, etc.). Possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.Preferred Qualifications:
Strong experience in environmental field work, task management, and technical writing. Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications. Strong analytical skills. Strong attention-to-detail skills with the proven ability to work with a high-level of accuracy. Proven ability to work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision and in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments. Completion of OSHA 40-HourHAZWOPER
