Job Description

Junior Geologist Compensation is negotiable based on qualifications and experience. Job Summary Assist Project Manager in conducting environmental site assessment and writing required reports. Prepare and manage Phase 1 and II. Conduct site inspections and evaluate environmental conditions at a property. Conduct soil, soil vapor and groundwater sampling. Analyze and interpret survey data, well logs, boreholes and aerial photos. Conduct research, review environmental data and provide evaluation, conclusion and recommendations. T ravel for projects as assigned. Request, receive and obtain information from regulating agencies, counties and municipalities. Write technical reports and proposals. Data entry, compile reports. Schedule appointments with clients and different agencies for report request, review or pick up. Requirements Be able to travel for assigned projects Must own a vehicle with current insurance Work independently Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel, pdf and have other computer skills Qualifications Minimum B.S. Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or another related field in science (in accordance with ASTM). At least 2 to 5 years of direct, relevant work experience in California. Proficiency in interpreting geological data and understanding soil, soil vapor and ground water sampling techniques. Ability to work outdoors in various environmental conditions and handle sampling equipment safely. Knowledge of current and emerging CA groundwater policies and procedures with expertise in RWQCB and DTSC directive and goals Work with minimum supervision and make on the spot decisions based on the current situation. Good organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

From $52,000.00 per year
