This role includes travel to project sites, including overnight and multi-day assignments. What We Do We apply a wide range of geophysical methods, including: 2D and 3D Seismic Refraction and Reflection Basin-scale HSAMT and gravimetric evaluations 2D Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) 1D Wenner arrays for grounding studies Surface wave and surface-to-downhole seismic Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Underground Storage Tank (UST) investigations Magnetic (MAG) and electromagnetic (EM31, EM61) surveys Utility locating and mapping Bathymetric surveys Drone photogrammetry With decades of combined field experience, Advantage Geophysics has a proven track record of solving complex subsurface challenges. About the Role As a Staff Geophysicist, you will support environmental, geotechnical, and engineering projects through geophysical data acquisition, processing, and interpretation. You'll work closely with experienced team members, gaining hands-on training across our methods while contributing to real-world projects from day one. Key Responsibilities Conduct geophysical field surveys and collect data Process, analyze, and interpret geophysical datasets Prepare technical reports and documentation Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field Experience with GPR, resistivity, or seismic methods (preferred, not required) Familiarity with data processing software Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Willingness to travel for fieldwork Authorization to work in the United States Ability to work safely in remote outdoor locations Comfortable with long field shifts (up to 14 hours), night work, and extended field tours Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, kneeling, hiking on uneven terrain) Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Certifications such as 40-hour HAZWOPER or MSHA are a plus Why Join Advantage Geophysics?
