The Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will join an award-winning acute-care hospital recognized for patient safety and quality, where a CAP-accredited, CLIA-certified laboratory features total laboratory automation, digital cell morphology, MALDI-TOF, rapid PCR platforms, and a next-generation LIS with intelligent middleware. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will report to the Laboratory Manager and collaborate daily with Section Supervisors and Board-Certified Pathologists, backed by friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare team across the ED, ICU, perioperative services, and inpatient units. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will perform complex testing as a generalist in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and transfusion services; validate and troubleshoot analyzers; maintain QC/QA and regulatory readiness (CAP/CLIA/Joint Commission); support POCT; mentor colleagues; optimize STAT turnaround; and contribute to process improvement—all while leveraging robust pre-analytical support and modern automation. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will hold a current California CLS license, with ASCP certification preferred and prior hospital laboratory experience highly valued.
