Medical Science Liaison / Senior Medical Science Liaison - Neuroscience About the Opportunity Our client, an innovative, research-driven biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Senior Medical Science Liaason to support its expanding neuroscience portfolio, with a primary focus on Alzheimer's disease. This field-based role will serve as a scientific expert and trusted resource for healthcare professionals, fostering scientific exchange, gathering medical insights, and supporting medical affairs initiatives across a designated territory. This position covers the Plains Region (Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, and Iowa) . Candidates must reside within the assigned territory. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain collaborative scientific relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders throughout the assigned territory. Build and maintain deep expertise in Alzheimer's disease, neuroscience, and related therapeutic areas, including current clinical data, treatment landscapes, and emerging research. Provide accurate, balanced, and evidence-based scientific information to external healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders. Deliver scientific presentations and educational discussions in response to unsolicited requests. Gather, analyze, and communicate medical insights from healthcare professionals to help inform medical and clinical strategies. Assess regional scientific needs and identify opportunities to support clinical and organizational objectives. Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, and other internal teams while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. Support company-sponsored clinical research activities and assist with investigator-initiated research discussions and processes as appropriate. Stay informed on evolving scientific literature, treatment guidelines, and market trends within neuroscience. Contribute to the continued growth and success of the Field Medical organization through collaboration and knowledge sharing. Complete required documentation, including field activity reports, medical insights, medical information requests, expense reports, and required training. Qualifications Advanced scientific or clinical degree required (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, DNP, or equivalent). Previous Medical Science Liaison experience preferred. Experience in neurology, neuroscience, Alzheimer's disease, geriatric psychiatry, or related therapeutic areas is highly desirable. Candidates must reside within the assigned territory. Ability to travel up to 75%, including overnight and occasional weekend travel. Must be able to obtain and maintain required healthcare facility credentials for field access. Preferred Skills Strong scientific knowledge and the ability to communicate complex clinical data effectively to a variety of audiences. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and key external stakeholders. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
