Type:

full-time Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities This position will support the small scale lentiviral vector downstream team on platform process optimization, characterization, new processes development, investigations, and technical transfer. Conduct small scale lentiviral vector production process development using material from mammalian cell culture. Purification techniques will include depth filtration, affinity and/or Ion exchange (IEX) chromatography, and tangential flow filtration (TFF), sterile filtration, etc. Previous experience with large scale filtration and purification systems a plus. Management of experimental samples, including aliquoting, storage, and shipment as needed. Analyze data post run and present analysis. Maintain record of analytical data into data sheets and/or electronic lab notebooks. Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, and all relevant safety and quality standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external teams. Excellent analytical skill to identify gaps and root causes of issues and think out of the box to develop a solution. Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision to meet tight deadlines and maintain a positive attitude. Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly with data aggregation and analysis. Experience with modeling software tools a plus.

Required experience:

2+ years of hands-on experience as a lab-based Scientist supporting downstream work including filtration of material, protein chromatography, and TFF (Tangential Flow Filtration) Protein chromatography experience - bind/elute, ion exchange, or size exclusion

Cytiva AKTA Compensation:

$35-55/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
