Role Overview:
The position involves performing clinical duties as a medical laboratory scientist in a high-complexity laboratory and teaching medical laboratory science students, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role balances clinical and educational responsibilities, focusing on patient and student experiences.Responsibilities include:
Performing all duties and meeting competency expectations of a medical laboratory scientist Collaborating with education teams to develop and deliver MLS curricula Maintaining confidentiality of patient and student data Troubleshooting, resolving, and reporting issues promptly Engaging in continuous quality improvement and ongoing education Participating in team efforts to optimize workflows and meet organizational goals Modeling professional behaviors and encouraging scholarly activities Serving on departmental committees and participating in recruitment and professional eventsQualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and certification (e.g., ASCP) Experience in clinical laboratory roles and teaching preferred Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality practices, and confidentiality standards Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently Excellent teamwork, communication, and professional behaviorAdditional Details:
