Description Medical Laboratory Scientist (multiple positions) needed for Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. Will perform routine activities and analytical testing procedures in an accurate, precise, and timely manner. Conduct specimen handling and processing; Analyze laboratory findings to check the accuracy of the results; Report and maintain records of patient test results in accordance with laboratory procedures; Recognize discrepancies in patient orders; Resolve and report problems and solutions as appropriate; Enter data from analysis of medical tests or clinical results into computer applications for storage; Maintain records of testing samples; Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures and review and release procedures; Perform and record instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control; and Replenish reagents and supplies according to established protocols.
