Technician positions range from $24.50/hour - $28.00/hour (or higher depending on qualifications).

QUALIFICATIONS A
bachelor's degree or higher in anthropology/archaeology (or a related field). An accredited field school or commensurate California or Nevada CRM field experience (e.g., survey, precontact and historic-era site identification/documentation/data collection, excavation, and familiarity with standard electronic devices and hand-held tools). Detail-oriented, able to adapt to varying data collection needs, attention to field methods/pace, and effective verbal and written communication. Willingness to learn/refine new skills on-the-job. Ability to collaboratively interact with clients, Native American representatives, and co-workers. Can comply with Far Western's Safety Program and other Far Western training and operations protocols. Ability to dispatch out of our Sausalito, CA. office.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS
Current First Aid/CPR training/certifications. Basic compass, map, GPS navigation skills. Experience working outdoors in variable weather conditions and different types of environments. Ability to hike up to ten miles a day for up to 10 consecutive days in rugged terrain and variable weather. Willingness and ability to camp overnight in remote locations, as needed.
