Ideal candidates will be self-starters, effective at delivering accurate weather forecasts and information to our 30+ million TV households across the country. Ideal candidates will be looking to gain experience in severe weather and tropical forecasting, and working to gain knowledge of weather patterns around the country. Weekend coverage and weekday flexibility to cover breaking weather-related events is required. Since WeatherNation is on 24 hours a day, candidate must be willing and able to change work schedule based on the needs of the network. Meteorology or Atmospheric Sciences degree required. Minimum of 1-3 years' on-air experience. Ability to meet strict deadlines. Excellent attention to detail. Outstanding ability to process meteorological data on a national basis and provide accurate, timely and meaningful information to viewers. Experience with Baron's Lynx and VIPIR systems preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities include:

Prepare and push forward graphics and weather stories for current and upcoming shifts Keep website updated with latest information on top weather headlines Keep station's social media platforms current, relevant and meaningful to viewers Proactive in developing and executing creative weather content and stories Thrive in a team environment where all roles rely on each other for success

Salary Range:
