Job Description

Now hiring for Fall opening! We are hiring vac operators to specialize in loading grain with commercial grain vacs for seed companies during seed conditioning months of Sept
  • April.
CDL is NOT required, however Class "C" license is required. Work weeks are Monday-Friday (with an occasional Saturday), home every night, and average 40-55 hours. Starting wage is $25/hour with overtime after 40 hours. Early morning start times are common. You will also drive and work in typical winter weather conditions. Our grain vacs will typically travel 1-2 hours from the shop near Peru to the farmer bin site. The vac operator will load seed beans from farmer bins into semis. You will be in daily communication with our Illinois team and JSGS Dispatcher. Training will be provided on equipment. Our grain vacs are mounted on small, single-axle trucks. We have a new, heated shop near Peru where the grain vacs are stored and serviced.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to lift & maneuver 40+ pounds
  • Ability to climb in/out of grain bins
  • Ability to work in dusty environments
  • Ability to work in all types of weather
