Job Description

RedTown Technical Services, LLC seeks a Meteorologist I to turn complex weather data into clear, actionable insight for our small and mid-sized business clients. In this role, you'll analyze observational data and forecast models, build dashboards and reports, and integrate meteorological feeds into IT and continuity solutions. You'll monitor real-time conditions, support incident response, and explain risks in plain language. Working in a collaborative, learning-focused culture, you'll help shape scalable, weather-aware services in a fast-growing IT environment based in Gilbert, Arizona. Responsibilities Analyze weather data and models to produce accurate short- and medium-range forecasts for client operations Monitor real-time weather conditions and alerts, escalating potential impacts to internal teams and customers Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and API feeds that integrate meteorological data into IT systems Collaborate with engineers and support teams to embed weather intelligence into network and business continuity solutions Communicate forecasts, risks, and recommendations clearly to non-technical business stakeholders Contribute to process improvements and documentation for forecasting workflows and data quality Support incident response and disaster recovery planning with weather-driven risk scenarios Participate in an on-call rotation to provide weather insight during critical events Required Skills Weather data analysis Numerical weather prediction interpretation Python or R for data analysis GIS or mapping tools Data visualization dashboards API data integration Statistical analysis Linux or command-line tools Technical documentation Risk communication and briefing skills
