Job Summary/Description:

KXII 12, the weather leader in the Texoma region, is looking to add a weekend meteorologist to the market's most experienced First Alert weather team. The right candidate will have a combination of broadcast, digital, and technological expertise to tell weather stories on a variety of platforms. This meteorologist will anchor our weekend evening newscasts, as well as serve as the primary fill-in both AM & PM weekdays. This is a full-time position based out of our studios in Sherman, Texas, located between Dallas and Oklahoma City in the heart of Tornado Alley. Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following: ˑ Serve as primary weather anchor for the station's weekend newscasts ˑ Fill in on the air in weekday AM & PM newscasts as needed (including holidays) ˑ Serve as CTV anchor/producer for 30-minute First Alert Weather Extra show three nights/week ˑ Serve as primary talent for digital & social video forecasts and live broadcasts ˑ Design weather graphics for the department with an emphasis on "lifestyle forecasting" ˑ Produce weather graphics and information to regularly update our website, apps, and social media platforms ˑ Occasionally report live on weather conditions ˑ Occasionally report on weather-related events and topics

Qualifications/Requirements:

ˑ Bachelor's degree or higher in Meteorology or Atmospheric Sciences ˑ Some on-air experience, either professionally or in college, required (
