  • Devens, MA) We are seeking an Associate Scientist
  • Microbiology for a global pharmaceutical client.
Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T), Aseptic & Microbial Process Control Sciences (AMPCS), is seeking an engaged, organized, self-driven individual to perform microbiology laboratory testing and evaluate microbial growth characteristics in support of clinical and commercial technology transfers. The successful candidate will work effectively with cross-functional teams and independently to meet project goals. This is a 40-hour per-week, 12-month contract (extensions possible), 100% onsite in Devens, MA This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.
Responsibilities:
Support Clinical and Commercial Tech Transfers Project:
Perform Microbial Characteristics Testing Perform basic microbiology testing (e.g., bioburden/microbial counts and growth-promotion testing) using aseptic technique. Perform laboratory tests and related support work using standard and computerized equipment (e.g., electronic lab notebook) according to approved protocols/procedures. Maintain laboratory operations by cleaning equipment, supporting preventive-maintenance schedules, and managing lab supplies. Document test results and write test reports that describe methods and outcomes, including authoring final reports as needed. Draft, review, and approve technical documents that support technology transfers. Network buffer microbial-characteristics gap assessment project Perform microbial-characteristics testing on network buffers where required characteristics are missing per the gap assessment. Support development of electronic checklists for sterility and microbial-control project
Requirements:
Required Bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology or equivalent STEM field 1-3 years of lab experience required Knowledge of microbiology, cell culture or biochemistry laboratory techniques Proficiency in aseptic techniques Strong detail orientation with good organizational skills Technical writing skills is required
