$$24.56 - $29.58 per hour About Us We are a rapidly growing wet wipe manufacturing company producing high‑quality consumer products. As we scale operations, we are seeking a Microbiologist to support our wet wipe manufacturing operations by ensuring all products meet strict microbiological, safety, and regulatory standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining a hygienic production environment, validating sanitation effectiveness, and supporting continuous improvement in product quality. Key Responsibilities Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in‑process samples, and finished wet wipe products (TPC, yeast/mold, pathogens, preservative efficacy, etc.). Conduct Environmental Monitoring (EM) including air, surface, and water sampling across production and cleanroom areas. Maintain and monitor water system microbiological quality , including sampling, testing, and trending. Execute Preservative Efficacy Testing (PET/Challenge Testing) for new and existing formulations. Support validation and verification of sanitation procedures and hygienic zoning. Prepare and maintain microbiological media, reagents, and cultures following aseptic techniques. Document all results in accordance with GMP, FDA, and
ISO 22716
requirements. Investigate microbiological deviations , contamination events, and out‑of‑specification results. Collaborate with Quality, Production, and R&D on root cause analysis and corrective actions. Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records, and inventory. Participate in internal audits , customer audits, and regulatory inspections. Support new product development with microbiological expertise. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related scientific field or 10 plus years of microbiology lab experience; manufacturing or consumer goods. Experience with
GMP, GLP, ISO 9001, ISO
22716, or FDA-regulated environments strongly preferred. Familiarity with wet wipe, cosmetic, or OTC product testing is highly desirable. Strong aseptic technique and understanding of microbial growth, contamination control, and preservative systems. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment with strict hygiene standards. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods while performing lab work. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (media, equipment, sample cases). Use of PPE including lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and hair/beard nets when required.
