Key Responsibilities Day-to-day responsibilities of this position: Processing specimens for laboratory analysis Performing molecular and serological based assays Perform necropsy of animals for Rabies testing Performing test validations Drafing, writing, and/or updating SOPs and grants Evaluating quality control and performing corrective actions Performing instrument maintenance Troubleshooting interfaces between laboratory equipment and laboratory information systems. Monitoring testing processes for accuracy and timeliness Communicating with Epidemiologists and local partners. Qualifications Minimum or "day-one" qualifications: Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science or related field or 4 years of closely related experience. Previous experience working in a clinical or research lab Previous experience with PCR Good Communication Skills Pass a criminal background check Must meet CLIA education requirements for testing personnel in high complexity testing labs.

Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications:

Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science or related field Previous experience in performing immunoassays Previous experience in performing Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Basic knowledge of Molecular Biology Basic knowledge of Medical Microbiology About the Role Location
