Lily of the Desert Nutraceuticals, conveniently located in Lewisville, TX, has an immediate opening for a full-time Microbiologist in our Quality Control Department to fill a temporary vacancy. This temporary assignment is expected to last through year-end but may be longer. Reporting to our Laboratory Manager, our on-site QC Microbiologist is responsible for micro testing on bulk products, raw materials and finished product at our state-of-the-art production facility. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelors Degree in Microbiology or related field and will be familiar with Quality Control, Analytical Methods Development and Bioanalytical Chemistry.

Job Responsibilities :

Analyze samples of raw materials and finished product. Conduct investigations on out of spec results. Participate in collaborative studies serving as a team lead for projects. Assure accurate record keeping, reporting of data, and storage of information related to formulation efforts Provide all required documentation including reports, batch records, SOPs, etc. Maintain all equipment used in the micro testing of products and raw materials. REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree in Microbiology or related field 2-3 years' experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience Proficiency in MS Office, HACCP, GMPs Familiarity with manufacturing techniques and principals, preferably in food or OTC drug industry We are unable to provide H-1B visa sponsorship for this position.
