Overview
Job Summary

Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, packages, sterilizes, stores, and distributes supplies, instruments, and equipment dispensed by the department following infection control guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Manages decontamination, sterilization, distribution and storage of supplies, instruments and equipment.

Participates in Performance Improvement.

Demonstrates Fiscal management.

Maintains proper environment of care.

Develop and disseminate ongoing education.

Serve as preceptor.

Completes all assigned goals.

Education

Minimum Required

Successfully passed a nationally accredited central service exam for central service technicians and maintains a certified registered central service technical credential administered by the International Association of healthcare Central Service Material Management or the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution;

10 Hours of continuing education annually

Minimum Required
