Job Description

CAD Technician - Physical Substations About the Position As a CAD Technician in the Physical Substations group, you will be responsible for utilizing computer-aided design systems to support the preparation of physical drawing packages. You will work collaboratively with our engineering teams to deliver quality work in a timely manner and within a defined budget.
Hourly Rate:
$25-32/hour The salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market. Essential Responsibilities Assist in producing physical substation packages including general arrangements, elevations, bill of materials, conduit, grounding, lightning protection, and illumination Coordinate with designers, technicians, and engineers to incorporate design decisions Accuracy and effectiveness in computer-aided drafting Study relevant Codes and Standards to understand applicability to physical substation design Work effectively as part of a team and independently with oversight Must Have Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office A strong command of the English language Possesses effective written and oral communication skills Good interpersonal and people skills Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D modeling software is a plus Knowledge of physical substation design is a plus
