Work Hours are 6:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday, occasional Saturday work Description As a Utility Field Technician, you will be responsible for identifying utility pathways, cables, pipes, and other conduits that carry utilities underground. The field tech's primary goal is to locate projected utilities using a variety of techniques, excavation, and physical digging in a variety of land conditions. Requirements:

Able to perform physical labor (i.e. lift, squat, bend, scoop, dig trenches, standing for extended periods of time). Pass a background check and drug screen. Assists SUE Crew Chief in underground utility location performing designating and excavating tasks. Load, unload, and maintain SUE equipment daily. Safely excavate to expose subsurface utilities using hand tools and vacuum excavation technologies. Provide accurate measurements for utilities in project limits. Read and interpret utility records, as built and survey drawings, and highway design plans. Organize field work, while accurately and efficiently collecting field data, locating features, and deliver data to the office, while maintaining accurate records of work and expenses. Assists in providing Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) set up, as well as all related safety and other field tasks. Mark utilities with flags and/or paint. No experience necessary, but we will train you in the skills you need for your position.
