Metrology Technician (PMEL)

PKL Services Inc. is contracted to maintain and operate Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) F-15SG and United States Air Force (USAF) F-15E aircraft and equipment assigned to the 366th Fighter Wing located at Mountain Home AFB (MHAFB), Idaho. PKL employees at this site are subject to a Union/Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) regarding employment terms and work rules. The Metrology Technician - Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) (also known as Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE)). Technician is responsible for inspecting, aligning, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and certifying a variety of electronic, physical-dimensional, and weapon system peculiar test measurement and diagnostic equipment to technical data specifications ensuring traceability to Air Force Reference Standards.

Other key responsibilities include:

1. Perform duties as defined by applicable Air Force Instructions (AFIs), along with any USAF like functions typically performed within the 2P0X1 associated career field. 2. Adhere to all policies and procedures found in T.O.s 00-20-14, 33K1-100-1, 33K1-100-2, DAFI 21-101, and

DAFMAN 21-113. 3.

Adhere to all 2P0X1 safety practices/procedures and comply with AF security regulations, directives, and policies. 4. Schedule, align, calibrate and repair TMDE and be qualified to work in all areas of the PMEL in support of RSAF and

inventory. 5. Perform voltage, current, power, impedance, frequency, microwave, temperature, physical-dimensional measurements. 6. Troubleshoot and analyze maintenance problems pertaining to TMDE. 7. Use schematics, pictorial drawings, logic trees and software diagnostics. 8. Trace circuits and isolate malfunctions to component level in TMDE. 9. Remove components, orders, and installs replacement parts on equipment. 10. Perform equipment maintenance using special tools, high reliability soldering techniques, and technical data. 11. Prepare and use calibration correction charts. 12. Prepares calibration responsibility determinations, product/quality deficiency reports, and technical order improvement reports. 13. Use PAMS to document all maintenance actions. 14. Any and all other duties as directed by the Program Manager/Site Manager. We'd love to hear from you if you have…. 1. Prior qualified/certified 7-level PMEL technician with a minimum of six (6) years' experience or equivalent. 4. Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance. Wage:

$38.42 per hr. Health & Welfare benefit of $7.00 per hour Full time/hourly/ 40 hours a week Union position 401(k) plan Company Health & Welfare benefit provided to support medical, dental, vision, basic life plans. Physical Demands and Work Environment:

1. This position requires normal physical functions. 2. Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing. 3. May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers. 4. Normal color/depth perception and no record of emotional instability are required. 5. May be required to work in areas in or near a hangar/ flight line that may be noisy at times. 6. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. 7. May be required to wear personal protective equipment when in or passing thru a hazardous area. 8. Office/shop environment. 9.
