Position Function:
The School of Nursing seeks to hire intermittent workers to support program operations on an as-needed basis and to serve in a variety of roles depending on program needs. Employees hired into Intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year.
Salary Grade :
UC Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Answering calls and greeting guests/visitors Communicating with students and members of the public Taking meeting minutes Running errands Supporting School of Nursing events Assist with regular classroom test monitoring Performing other operational or administrative duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong professional, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and follow directions. Working Conditions and Physical Effort
  • No or very limited physical effort required.
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
  • Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
