Louis Stokes VA Medical Center and VA Outpatient Surgery Center Job Summary I-2-I Solutions, Inc. is seeking a qualified Water Sampling Technician to support a federal water-quality testing project at VA facilities in Cleveland, Ohio. The technician will be responsible for collecting water samples from designated sampling locations and preparing them for delivery to the designated laboratory in accordance with the project requirements and applicable sampling procedures. Work Locations Louis Stokes VA Medical Center 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44106 VA Outpatient Surgery Center 8901 Superior Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106 Key Responsibilities Collect water samples from designated points of collection throughout the VA facilities. Follow the project's sampling procedures, schedules, and handling requirements. Properly label, document, package, and maintain samples for laboratory submission. Coordinate scheduled sampling activities with VA personnel and facility representatives. Transport or otherwise ensure timely delivery of collected samples to the designated laboratory. Maintain accurate sampling records and documentation. Report any sampling issues, access problems, or other deficiencies encountered during field activities. Perform sampling during the required facility operating hours and according to the scheduled testing frequency. Follow all applicable VA facility safety, infection-control, and access requirements. Requirements Previous experience collecting water-quality samples is required. Experience working in healthcare, government, or commercial laboratory environments is preferred. Knowledge of proper water-sample collection, handling, labeling, and transportation procedures. Ability to accurately complete sampling documentation and maintain chain-of-custody records, where applicable. Ability to work independently while coordinating with facility personnel. Professional communication skills and reliable attendance. Ability to pass any facility-required background investigation or access requirements. Project-Specific Information Sampling will support testing associated with
AAMI ST108
water-quality requirements , including utility water, critical/AER water, steam, domestic water, and dental-line testing. The SOW identifies multiple sampling locations across the two Cleveland VA facilities.
