Our Hodge Foundry location began operation in 1876 and built a reputation for quality casting from its Greenville, Pennsylvania location. Position:

Sand Lab Technician (2 nd shift)

Work Hours:

3pm - 1130pm

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Collect and prepare sand samples from sand mixers, and run analysis Report /record test results and communicate as required Test molding and core sand properties to prevent defects Monitor and control sand transportation systems Calibrate, standardize and perform routine maintenance on mixers and lab equipment Operate tow motor and other mobile equipment as needed Keep workstation and surrounding work areas clean and organized Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be 18 years of age or older HS Diploma or GED preferred 1+ years of Lab experience preferred Strong attention to detail Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiple, divide) can use calculator Ability to read dials and record readings Basic computer skills Ability to work independently Effective communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical, and industrial environment Time management through performing multiple operations simultaneously Ability to follow work instructions and desire to learn

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials during your shift. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Comfortable and cleared to wear

FULL RESPIRATORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Standing and bending for long periods of time. Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.
