This is a senior-level hands-on position for someone that can operate independently, lead by example, and help drive quality, throughput, and technical capability within the lab. We are not looking for trainee-level candidates. The ideal candidate will have strong calibration experience and be capable of stepping directly into a working lead role with minimal ramp-up time. Full-Time Responsibilities:
Perform calibration, troubleshooting, and minor repair of Physical/Dimensional test equipment Lead day-to-day workflow and technical direction within the Phys-D department Support and mentor junior technicians Review calibration data and ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and
ANSI/NCSL Z540.3
requirements Assist with procedure development, process improvement, and quality initiatives Help maintain turnaround times and department productivity goals Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams regarding technical issues and scope questions
Preferred Experience:
Strong background in Physical/Dimensional calibration Experience with equipment such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, torque tools, scales/balances, force gauges, pressure equipment, temperature/humidity instrumentation, and related standards Working knowledge of uncertainty, TUR, and accredited calibration requirements Experience in an
ISO/IEC 17025
accredited environment preferred Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Prior leadership or lead technician experience strongly preferred
