Job Description:
Lead scientific research and technical initiatives supporting NASA Earth science programs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, evaluate, and enhance scientific methodologies, data processing systems, and research capabilities while advancing Earth system modeling, environmental data analysis, and related scientific applications.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Lead scientific research and technical investigations supporting Earth science initiatives. Develop, maintain, and enhance scientific data processing and analysis capabilities. Support the development and operation of research and pre-operational scientific systems. Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and external partners on multidisciplinary research projects. Analyze and interpret complex scientific datasets to support research objectives and model development. Prepare technical reports, scientific publications, and presentations. Job Requirements PhD in Atmospheric Science, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Earth Science, or related field. 12+ years of relevant scientific experience. Demonstrated experience with numerical modeling, high-performance computing, and scientific programming. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
