Job Description

You will serve as a
INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/PHYSICIST
in the
ORDNANCE TEST & EVAL DIVISION, WEAPONS & ENERGETICS DEPARTMENT
of
NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Qualifications:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to some or all of the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge in mastery of detonation diagnostics and testing of energetic materials; 2) Demonstrating knowledge with hydrocode modeling and simulation; familiarity with energetic material formulation, safety, and handling; familiarity with various warhead technologies as well as strategic goals; 3) Documenting record of successfully acquiring funding and executing a project as a Principle Investigator (PI) for detonation science related research and development Projects through the proposal process; 4) Mentoring newer engineers/student interns, scientists, and technicians; 5) Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives.
