Full Job Description Role Overview:
An Academic Radiation Physicist ensures high-quality radiation treatment and imaging, supports clinical research, and participates in teaching activities. Responsibilities include equipment calibration, quality assurance, treatment planning, and maintaining safety and compliance. The role involves providing radiation services across multiple facilities, supporting clinical protocols, and engaging in research and education to advance patient care.Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
Ph.D. or M.S. in medical physics, physics, or related fields; board certification or eligibility; clinical experience with radiotherapy, brachytherapy, and treatment planning; knowledge of LINAC operations and special procedures; strong commitment to patient care, education, and research.Preferred:
CAMPEP-accredited residency, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently.Key Duties:
Perform equipment calibration, commissioning, and quality assurance Support clinical treatment and research protocols Participate in teaching residents, students, and physicians Contribute to clinical research and protocol development Maintain safety, compliance, and operational standards Support recruitment and participate in departmental meetingsAdditional Information:
