In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of radiation treatments and diagnostic imaging procedures. Your expertise will help optimize patient outcomes by maintaining rigorous safety standards, calibrating equipment, and supporting clinical staff with technical guidance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge medical practices while working in a collaborative environment dedicated to excellence in patient care. Duties Perform detailed calibration, quality assurance, and maintenance of radiation therapy and diagnostic imaging equipment, including CT scanners, mammography units, and other medical imaging devices. Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and regulations. Collaborate closely with radiologists, oncologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment plans and imaging procedures. Conduct routine checks on equipment performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and recommend upgrades or repairs as needed. Provide expert guidance on the application of radiation physics principles in critical care settings such as acute care units and intensive care units. Review medical images for accuracy and quality assurance, ensuring precise diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain comprehensive documentation of calibration records, safety inspections, and incident reports to uphold regulatory compliance. Skills Extensive knowledge of medical imaging modalities including CT scans, mammography, and radiation therapy techniques. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Critical care experience is highly desirable for supporting acute patient needs effectively. Proficiency in interpreting medical images and applying physics principles to improve image quality and patient safety. Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with radiation safety regulations and quality assurance protocols in healthcare environments.
Pay:
$80.00 - $120.00 per hour
