Aspirus Regional Cancer Center in Wausau, WI is seeking a Chief Medical Physicist to join our team! The Chief Medical Physicist is integrally involved in the development, implementation, and oversight of the radiation therapy programs for five Wisconsin clinical sites and is based in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Opportunity Information:
Daily collaboration with a highly skilled team of physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, and radiation oncologists. Travel/coverage to outreach locations, potentially weekly, required Oversight of QA, upgrades, equipment calibration, and installations Primary contact for dosimetry support, equipment issues, and safety oversight.HOURS:
Full-time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period. Day shift, with some intermittent PM hours for machine QA. Experience/Qualifications Knowledge of radiation oncology and related technology standards and protocols normally acquired through completion of a master's degree or PhD in medical or radiological physics from an AAPM accredited institution. Knowledge and experience with Varian Truebeam/tomotherapy linear accelerators and Pinnacle treatment planning system. ABR or ABMP certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics. Seven or more years experience as a medical physicist. Previous experience in running projects, overseeing installation, and mentoring other physicists beneficial.
