Leads bioanalytical strategy and execution across a therapeutic portfolio spanning discovery through clinical development. Builds and evolves capabilities, delivery models, and scientific approaches to generate high-quality PK, biomarker, and PK/PD data. Develops a flexible organization that adapts to portfolio needs while ensuring scientific rigor and alignment with regulatory expectations.
Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
Define and drive bioanalytical strategy across the portfolio, spanning early discovery through clinical development and adapting to evolving program needs. Primary focus will be aligned with early portfolio needs and the initiation of bioanalytical & omics methods in the emerging portfolio. Build and scale bioanalytical capabilities, including assay platforms, reagent strategies, and technologies that support both early and late-stage programs Establish and integrate new analytical methods using internal and external resources to ensure efficient and high-quality data generation. Provide scientific leadership in development and application of bioanalytical methods, including PK, biomarker, immunogenicity, and PK/PD approaches Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to inform program strategy and decision-making across all stages of development Lead and develop a bioanalytical team, implementing flexible resourcing approaches aligned to portfolio priorities Set direction for assay reagent generation, procurement, and prioritization to support a range of modalities and development stages Guide bioanalytical contributions to regulatory strategies and submissions, ensuring readiness and compliance where applicable Drive continuous improvement and innovation in bioanalytical workflows, technologies, and operating models Ensure quality, rigor, and consistency of bioanalytical data to support research and development decisions ​
Qualifications/Skills:
Typically requires 10+ years of relevant industry experience, a PhD in analytical science or related field and 8+ years of management experience; MS or BS candidates with substantial additional experience will also be considered Deep expertise in bioanalytical sciences supporting biologics and complex modalities in discovery and/or early development, including exploratory PK, biomarkers, and PK/PD assay strategy and data interpretation. Strong working knowledge of bioanalytical approaches and sound judgment in selecting the right method for the question, molecule, and stage. Track record of leading through influence in matrixed environments, building cross-functional partnerships, and translating technical data into clear program recommendations. Understanding of how exploratory bioanalysis interfaces with regulated bioanalysis to best support later stages of drug development, including project transition planning and assay documentation expectations. Highly effective organizational leadership, people management & talent development skills.
Salary Range:
$212,000.00 to $276,000.00 .  Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
