Job Description

At Stryker, we're seeking a Project Manager in R D who will support the delivery of life‑changing medical devices and software solutions to market. Your efforts will help neurosurgeons achieve better patient outcomes and improve lives. In this role, you will lead cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams throughout the product development lifecycle from concept through commercialization. You will support project planning, ensure tasks are appropriately prioritized, resources are allocated effectively, and key milestones are achieved. Working closely with senior project leaders, you will assist in tracking project progress, proactively addressing challenges, and keeping projects on schedule—particularly those involving software-driven and digitally enabled solutions. This role is an on-site role that requires to be onsite 5 days a week. What You Will Do Lead the development and execution of project charters, management plans, and detailed Gantt charts Define project scope with stakeholders and create structured work breakdowns to guide execution Monitor project budgets and ensure costs remain within approved limits Develop and maintain quality and risk management plans using industry-standard tools Assign and manage project team resources, clearly defining roles and deliverables Build and execute stakeholder and communication management plans Collaborate on procurement planning and vendor selection Provide performance feedback to functional managers and support team development What You Will Need Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field Minimum 4 years of relevant project management experience Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex timelines Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet) Preferred Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent Experience in regulated or quality-driven environments Experience leading software or software-intensive projects, including coordination with software engineering, systems, and verification teams Familiarity with software development lifecycles (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall) in regulated or complex product environments Experience managing integrated hardware-software programs Experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, or regulated industries preferred
