YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- + You are accountable for the holistic R D pipeline strategy for Cereals, OSR, Cotton and Biofuels, grounded in pipeline performance, risk/opportunity assessments, and scientific and commercial evaluation + You lead cross-functional end-to-end pipeline teams accountable for R D strategic priorities and pipeline decisions based on market, customer, and grower needs + You ensure technical and asset strategies are enabled according to portfolio risk/opportunity assessments and that investments reflect scientific, regulatory, business, and commercial insights + You define external scouting priorities together with the pipeline team to strengthen the pipeline and future opportunity spaces + You drive portfolio health through prioritization, scenario planning, and trade-off decisions to maximize ROI on R D capabilities and enable cross-technology synergies across EPTs + You enable value generation at the interface of Science & Technology and Crop Protection in close collaboration with the CP, Soy and Corn Technology Leads + You will architect an AI-enabled portfolio decision-making system (valuation logic, trade-off mechanisms, resource models, decision matrix) to convert inputs into high-quality, prioritized investments + You represent R D in the Cereals, OSR, Cotton Enterprise Product Teams (with RDLT leads), helping deliver the R D OpEx line on the EPT P&L and ensuring close alignment with R D Homes and Finance •
WHO YOU ARE
- + You have an advanced degree in Life Sciences, Agriculture, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field + You have long-term experience in R D portfolio management, strategy, investment management, portfolio analytics, or business excellence + You have a strong understanding of R D value creation logic, portfolio management, and investment principles + You are a strategic, long-term visionary with a strong innovation mindset + You demonstrate strong business acumen to interpret market and portfolio requirements and respond to market-driven changes + You have strong AI acumen and you can design and leverage agent-enabled workflows to enhance decision quality and execution + You are able to build teams and networks and influence without formal authority in a global matrix organization + You communicate with clarity and impact, and you bring executive presence and stakeholder management strength + Fluency in English •Applications from employees in Germany who may be affected by personnel reduction will be treated favorably.
