Manager, Index Research & Design (Technology & AI Focus) FTSE Russell | LSEG We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Index Research & Design team, where you will play a key role in crafting the next generation of index research, product development, and technology-enabled capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of quantitative research, product innovation, and technology. You will work closely with research, engineering, and product teams to design index solutions, develop analytical frameworks, and help embed modern technologies-including cloud platforms and AI-into the research and index development lifecycle! What you'll be doing Partner closely with engineering teams to translate index designs and research outputs into scalable, production-ready solutions on cloud-based platforms (e.g. AWS) Drive the integration of new technologies, including AI/LLM capabilities, into research workflows, analytics, and product development processes Contribute to the development of new index products, from feasibility through to implementation and launch Develop analytical tools, frameworks, and processes that improve scalability, efficiency, and reproducibility of research What we're looking for Significant experience in equity research, index research, or quantitative investment roles, with a strong understanding of index construction and portfolio techniques Strong technical background, including hands-on experience with Python and working in data-intensive analytical environments Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and collaborating with engineering teams to implement analytical or production solutions Curiosity about and practical exposure to AI/LLM tools and their application in research, analytics, or workflow automation Proven record to contribute to product development and translate research into practical, scalable outputs Strong communication skills, with experience engaging both technical and non-technical participants Experience operating in a multi-functional, global environment Why join us We are evolving how index research is developed, implemented, and delivered by combining quantitative expertise with modern technology and data platforms.
