Manager Department:

Research & Development Position Overview The R&D Manager plays a key role in driving product innovation and business growth by developing, refining, and bringing new products to market. This position collaborates closely with production, quality, and operations teams to ensure all products meet company standards for safety, quality, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Develop new product formulations from initial concept through full commercialization Enhance existing products to improve quality, optimize costs, and increase operational efficiency Plan and execute product trials, testing, and validations within the facility Partner with production teams to scale formulations and processes effectively Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards Prepare and maintain detailed product documentation, including formulations, specifications, and SOPs Assist in troubleshooting formulation-related production or quality issues Conduct shelf-life testing and sensory evaluations Stay informed on industry trends, emerging ingredients, and new technologies to support innovation Collaborate with procurement on ingredient sourcing and cost management Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field (preferred) 2-5 years of R&D experience within food manufacturing Strong understanding of food safety standards, including GMPs and HACCP Hands-on experience with product formulation and scale-up processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation systems Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities Core Competencies Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Working Environment Split between office, laboratory, and production floor settings Requires standing for extended periods during product trials Adherence to all safety protocols and PPE requirements in production areas

Pay:

$85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
