- Overview
- A Graduate Research Assistant in Crop, Soil, and Environmental Sciences supports faculty-led research focused on improving agricultural productivity, soil health, and environmental sustainability.
- Responsibilities
- + Conduct research activities aligned with the graduate degree program + Design and conduct field, greenhouse, and laboratory experiments + Assist with ongoing and related research projects as assigned + Collect, manage, organize, and analyze agronomic and environmental data using appropriate quantitative and analytical methods + Operate and assist with scientific instruments, including soil sensors, analytical laboratory equipment, and GIS‑based tools + Prepare written reports, summaries, and documentation of research findings + Contribute to the preparation of outreach materials and assist with field days and demonstrations + Help translate scientific findings into practical recommendations for research and outreach purposes + Maintain laboratory spaces, equipment, and supplies to support research activities + Work independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and multidisciplinary research teams •Qualifications•+ Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field + Currently enrolled as an Auburn University graduate student •Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities•Bachelor's degree in Agriculture and the ability to perform in the field and/or lab.
