Job Description Overview The department of Biosystems Engineering at Auburn University is seeking candidates for a Research Assistant. The individual selected for this position will provide professional and technical assistance with research programs focused on the study of agricultural wastewater treatment and bioreactor development. This is a two-year limited term appointment. Continuation of employment is contingent upon the availability of funds. Responsibilities Assist principal investigator Assist in the development of project plans and laboratory protocols Perform and supervise wastewater bioreactor research activities Summarize data from research and stakeholder engagements Prepare technical reports and presentations to support publication Perform various other duties as assigned by supervisor with regards to sustainable wastewater engineering practices
Qualifications Levl I:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or Agriculture; no experience required.
Valid Driver's License Level II:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or Agriculture and 2 years of experience in research practices and protocols relevant to the position.
Valid Driver's License Level III:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or Agriculture and 4 years of experience in research practices and protocols relevant to the position. Valid Driver's License

Yes, When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.
