Physician Scientist

This role will lead and support applied research and outcomes tracking in substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders, and will translate the latest evidence into clear, actionable guidance for clinicians and operational leaders. Responsibilities Conduct and document applied research on substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders; contribute to protocols, manuscripts, and presentations. Partner with analysts/data scientists on measure definitions, data quality, analysis interpretation, and reporting. Support development of evidence-informed program policies/procedures. Develop clinician-facing guidance and training materials based on research findings and the broader evidence base. Provide as-needed briefs to support clinical and operational decision-making. Qualifications PhD or MD in a relevant field Experience in substance use research and co-occurring mental health disorders. Strong ability to communicate research clearly to non-research audiences; excellent writing skills with accurate citations. Preferred Experience in correctional health or implementation research. Expertise with analytic tools (R/Python/SPSS) and publication track record.
