Job Description

Job Summary A Research Assistant opportunity is available in Woodland Hills, CA for a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about the music industry and interested in building a career in music research and music administration. This direct hire, entry-level role is ideal for someone with a Music Business background who enjoys online research, data accuracy, copyright ownership research, and working with music-related information. The Research Assistant will support a collaborative music administration team by researching music copyright ownership, maintaining database records, matching song and release details, and helping ensure information is accurate, complete, and well organized. This is a strong opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the business side of music while working in a professional environment that values accuracy, teamwork, communication, and growth. This role is well suited for a candidate who is organized, curious, reliable, and eager to learn from experienced professionals in a supportive team setting. Candidates who enjoy music, research, data entry, and administrative support will find this position to be a meaningful way to contribute to the music industry. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive online research to identify, verify, and document music copyright ownership.
  • Match song, release, artist, and publishing details with a high level of accuracy.
  • Update, organize, and maintain music administration records within internal databases.
  • Use internet resources, direct sources, and reference tools to support research accuracy.
  • Respond to inquiries promptly and professionally while providing accurate information.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain complete, current, and reliable music-related data. Compensation and Benefits
  • Compensation:
    $18 per hour.
  • Annualized compensation: $37,440 per year.
