Job Description

Georgetown Economic Services (GES) is an economic consulting firm specializing in providing analytical support in international trade and customs, antitrust, and commercial litigation. As a subsidiary of Kelley Drye & Warren
LLP, GES
assists clients in navigating current economic challenges and future trends, with a focus on issues aligned with Kelley Drye's expertise in international trade and customs, antitrust, and commercial litigation. We are currently seeking a part-time Research Assistant to join our team at GES. In this role, you will handle moderately complex tasks and provide essential support to Kelley Drye Attorneys, Senior Trade Analysts, Trade Analysts, and other stakeholders in the areas of data collection, entry, and analysis.
Responsibilities/Essential functions:
Respond to statistical and analytical queries from Kelley Drye Attorneys, Senior Trade Analysts, Trade Analysts, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with other Research Assistants, Trade Analysts, and Senior Trade Analysts on various research and data projects, primarily focused on international trade. Provide research support through data management and analysis, including compiling, organizing, and presenting empirical analysis results. Develop outlines and assist in drafting research reports, charts, graphs, and tables. Contribute to other projects as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Basic understanding of research methods, including experience in quantitative or qualitative data collection and analysis. Strong ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Comfortable working under pressure and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced skills in Excel are essential. Must be authorized to work in the United States. The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in Washington D.C. if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees, and certifications (e.g., JD/technology) for example. Washington D.C.
