Role Overview The Trademark Research Assistant will assist the Trademark Support Services team with administrative tasks, managing deadlines, and drafting related correspondence needed. This individual will utilize knowledge of trademark laws, procedures, and research to conduct investigations while maintaining client portfolios as they anticipate research and investigation needs. Responsibilities Record billable and nonbillable time according to firm standards.
Conduct product and company investigations.
Interpret investigation results and prepare correspondence related to such findings.
Completes training to assist attorneys with monitoring docket and prepare for deadlines
Completes core training/cross-training, skills assessments, and related development in all Trademark support areas, as assigned. Significant progression of responsibilities and assignments should be assumed within the first year of hire. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in a professional business environment
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn the systems and databases used by the firm
Excellent research skills and knowledge of research sources
Strong grammatical and proofreading skills
Ability to work well without direct supervision
