Supervisor Recycling Plant

• About the Job
• The MRF Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within a state-of-the-art Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), ensuring optimal production efficiency, cost control, and a strong commitment to safety.

This role plays a key part in leading a highly automated recycling operation, leveraging advanced technology to manage and monitor plant performance. The facility is one of the most technologically advanced recycling operations in North America, featuring 90% automated processes, cutting-edge optical sorting technology, and fully integrated systems that enable plant-wide management through tablet-based controls within a modern, state-of-the-art environment. The position works 2nd shift (starting at 1:30 PM), Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays. Position maybe hired at a level I or Level II based on background and experience.

• What You'll be Doing
• + Manages daily (plant) operations and maintains inventory for safety and operation supplies.

+ Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and ensures quality control in adherence to policies and procedures. + Manages (plant) logistics and materials; supervises daily production; enters finished goods into inventory; orders supplies as needed. + Supervises production staff and coordinates workflow and assignments toward the achievement of operational goals. + Oversees operations personnel needs including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions. + Investigates, reviews and controls implementation of safety regulations and company policies and procedures. + Creates and submits weekly and month end reports to senior management.

• What does it take to be a Supervisor of Recycling Plant with WM?
• A. Required Qualifications + High School Diploma or GED (accredited) + Four (4) to six (6) years previous experience (in addition to education requirement) B. Preferred Qualifications + Mobile Equipment Operator, CPR First Aid + Mechanical Aptitude + Solid background with Technology

Combination:

This job operates in a mix between an office environment and plant/field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.

• Pay:

• The expected base pay range for this office/on-site position is $66,946 - $81,301. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
