Job Description:

The Research Assistant will perform a variety of routine tasks associated with the Windfall, IN multi crop research station.\nThe tasks will include any or all of those described for the Field and Processing Worker, organization of samples during corn/soy harvest and/or, wheat planting.\nThe type of task will be dependent on the stage of the annual research program and will be seasonal in nature.\nTasks may be performed in an indoor and/or outdoor setting.\nThe Assistant must be able to understand and follow both written and oral instructions.\nHe/She normally receives general instructions on routine tasks and detailed instructions on new tasks. The work will be closely supervised.

Responsibilities:

As with the Field and Processing Worker, can be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks or a specific task depending on the stage of the seasonal research program.\nTasks may include: Field research operations related to planting, thinning, weeding, pollinations and sample harvest.\nSample processing operations including preparation of supplies, sorting, scanning, weighing, preparation for shipping and seed packaging.\nGeneral facility operations including general clean-up, organization of samples and supplies, and other routine tasks as they arise.\nThe Research Assistant may also perform additional tasks as requested by the supervising Field Technician.

we supply all PPE that would be needed except for Steel Toed Boots, which are only required for certain work. They most likely would not need those right away, and we would reimburse a % IF we tell them to go get some or order them.
