The Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC) currently has a vacancy for an unclassified Program/Research Analyst in the Energy Division. The KCC is a multi-faceted agency responsible for regulating public utilities including electric, natural gas, telecommunication and water companies as well as motor carriers, oil and gas pipelines and oil and gas natural production activities. The Commission's headquarters is in Topeka with the central Conservation office in Wichita and four Conservation district offices located in Dodge City, Wichita, Chanute and Hays. - $55,000 Annually Salary can vary depending upon education, experience, or qualifications.

Respond to inquiries about energy programs. Work with fiscal staff and provide assistance to agency staff in completing reporting requirements. Perform research, associated analysis and prepare reports, and recommendations, both independently and in coordination with other staff, on special projects or as needed, especially as it relates to federal requirements and mandates for the agency. The person in this position must be aware of and ensure program and grant requirements are met.
Minimum Qualifications:
Six months of experience in collecting, evaluating, studying or reporting on statistical, economic, fiscal/budget, legislative, or administrative data. Education may be substituted as deemed relevant by the agency. Excellent written and verbal skills, and ability to collaborate. Must be detail oriented. Ability to manage multiple projects, tight deadlines, and effectively set priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years of auditing, research, and/or analytical experience. Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
