About the Company 1620 Investment Advisors, Inc. is an independent registered investment advisor located in Plymouth, MA with over $230 million in AUM and over 25 years of providing investment management services nationwide to individuals, families, small businesses, and nonprofits. We pride ourselves on delivering high-touch client service, independent advice, and institutional quality portfolio management with a small business feel. Job Overview 1620 Investment Advisors is looking to add an experienced analyst to its investment team. The investment team collaborates to manage multi-asset portfolios comprised of individual securities, ETFs, and mutual funds. The candidate should have direct equity research experience and will contribute to the security selection and portfolio construction of 1620's in-house, multi-cap equity strategies. The candidate should be comfortable working within a quantitative framework that blends factor-based analysis with a qualitative, fundamental overlay. Experience analyzing the healthcare sector, working within the healthcare industry, or having an academic background in Life Sciences would be preferred. The analyst will cover two or three sectors and be responsible for generating new investment ideas as well as monitoring existing holdings. The analyst will be expected to also contribute to the overall, multi-asset portfolio construction framework and assist in the investment team's analysis of fixed income securities and alternative investment vehicles when applicable. The candidate should be a self-starter with an interest in a multi-faceted role that includes not only investment research but direct, client facing responsibilities as well. The candidate should have interest in a path to a portfolio manager role that would include client acquisition and management fee revenue share opportunities. A working knowledge of the following investment tools would be preferred: FactSet, Morningstar, Zacks Investment Research. Responsibilities Conduct quantitative and fundamental research as the lead analyst on 2-3 primary sectors Contribute to the portfolio construction process across multiple asset classes Participate in client investment meetings and presentations communicating market trends, investment performance, and economic information Assist in the due diligence of alternative and traditional investment vehicles when needed Collaborate on asset allocation strategies aligning client risk/return with goals and time horizon
Qualifications Experience:
3+ years directly researching individual stocks
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Life Sciences preferred
Professional Designations:
Advanced degree, CFA Charter, or progress towards CFA preferred Experience with
FactSet, Morningstar Research, Zacks Investment Research, Bloomberg, Black Diamond Portfolio Management Pay:
$110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
