Postdoctoral Research Associate About the Opportunity The Institute for NanoSystems Innovation (NanoSI) at Northeastern University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in micro- and nanoelectromechanical systems (MEMS/NEMS). The successful candidate will conduct advanced research in the design, modeling, fabrication, and characterization of
MEMS/NEMS
devices, with an emphasis on electromechanical behavior and nonlinear dynamics. The position also includes mentoring graduate and undergraduate researchers and contributing to sponsored research reporting. This is a full-time, fixed-term postdoctoral appointment within NanoSI. The position offers access to state-of-the-art fabrication and characterization facilities and opportunities to engage in high-impact, externally funded research programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field. Demonstrated expertise in
MEMS/NEMS
design and modeling, including finite element methods. Strong publication record in leading engineering or scientific journals. Experience with MEMS fabrication processes and device characterization.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with sensor system integration Familiarity with experimental data analysis and custom device fabrication for materials characterization. Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary research teams.
