Qualifications:

The applicant should have reasonable working knowledge and experience of R D of ceramics and refractory metals, and reasonable working experience of numerical analysis of mathematical models of thermo-mechanical engineering problems. A successful candidate for this position will work closely with two senior level experienced scientists of HDM (one PhD in condensed matter physics and another PhD in chemistry) and one senior engineer and a few lab technicians. Part-time work of about 20 hours per week is possible for a graduate student. A Scientist/Engineer who has recently retired from a U.S. technology company is encouraged to apply.
