This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage. Position Summary Information Job Description Summary The research coordinator, under supervision of the principal investigator (PI), will provide research support for studies related to deafness and language development. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing administrative support for recruiting participants; assisting with Internal Review Board (IRB) protocol development and compliance; collecting and managing data; collaborating with research assistants; assisting in the preparation of presentations, grants, and manuscripts. The research coordinator will be trained in key data collection methodologies (eye tracking, behavioral, and survey data) and will help to develop and implement research study protocols and standard operating procedures for the lab. Responsibilities Provide administrative support for research projects (e.g., participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, payment, and database management) Support development, submission, and compliance monitoring of IRB protocols for research studies. Assist with data collection, processing, verification, and management for eye tracking, behavioral, and survey data. Mentor research assistants and coordinating lab meetings Aid in preparation of presentations, grants, and manuscripts Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Strong initiative, organizational skills, and problem-solving for project management Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Willing to occasionally work on an alternative schedule to accommodate research participant or trainee scheduling needs. Desired Qualifications Undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline (e.g., communication sciences and disorders, linguistics, cognitive science, psychology) Proficient in American Sign Language and prior experience working with the Deaf community. Prior research experience (especially statistical analysis, eye tracking methodology, Qualtrics, REDCap). Knowledge of IRB application development, submission, and review processes. Experience in participant recruitment, scheduling, and study visit processes.
