This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage. Job Description Summary Under the direction and supervision of the Principal Investigator, the research technician will be responsible for supporting on-going research projects by the Fisher lab, including maturing satellite data analyses for public communication and dissemination, as well as publications. The person will help coordinate the lab resources and support administrative logistics and will provide support for purchasing and expense reporting. Responsibilities Research Activities Mature satellite data analyses for public communication and dissemination, as well as publications. Assist with data collection, cleaning, verification, and management. Document methods, results, and interpretations to support research objectives and reporting. Lab Support Help coordinate the lab resources and coordinate logistics with personnel. Purchase supplies Follow lab safety guidelines Logistical Support Provide support for purchasing and expense reporting Prepare expense reports and reconciliations Other related duties as assigned Required Qualifications Previous experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting Strong analytical and organizational skills Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Writing skills to summarize research findings and integrate into scientific manuscripts Communication and interpersonal skills to interact and work collaboratively with other researchers Desired Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and Policy; Special Instructions to Applicants Chapman University is an equal opportunity employer that provides equal employment opportunities to all individuals, regardless of their protected characteristics.
