$48,672 - $61,570 Employees being promoted to a higher classified position receive the minimum for the position or a pay rate adjustment of 8% whichever is greater. All regular positions also entitle the employee to several benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement which is largely paid by New Mexico Tech for the employee and dependents.

JOB SUMMARY:
The analyst will use SeisComP and other seismological tools to locate earthquakes in New Mexico on a daily basis. The analyst will also help carry out field work related to seismic monitoring in New Mexico and help in maintaining the seismic data acquisition systems at NMT.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Daily earthquake locations NMTSO seismic network fieldwork Assist in preparing technical reports and publications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience. Experience in Python, ObsPy, Unix/ Linux shell scripting.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master;s Degree in Geophysics (Seismology). Familiarity with SeisComP. Principles of earthquake seismology. Experience with seismic equipment and fieldwork.
